A key aim of the Team Scotland Scottish Sports Awards is raising funds for the Scottish Commonwealth Games Youth Trust, which supports the next generation of athletes as they strive to emulate the success of our current stars.

Established in 1989, the Trust offers awards, such as the PHM Scholarship, to athletes in the lead up to Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games, as well as funding scholarships in support of athletes studying at the University of Stirling.

Past beneficiaries of Youth Trust support have gone on to compete with distinction for Team Scotland at Commonwealth Games and for Team GB at Olympic Games, including several of the recently returned Rio 2016 team who will be attending this year’s Awards.
